Q: How do I use my classroom Apple TV? How do I get back to my document camera or computer after using the Apple TV?
A: Below are the steps for getting connected to your Apple TV with a teacher or student iPad:
1. Make sure your Apple TV is turned on. Click on the round button on your remote - you will know the Apple TV is on when a small white light appears on the front of your device. 2. Make sure that your project is using the correct "source". Click on the "source search" button on your projector's remote. There is also a source search button on the projector itself! 3. To connect your iPad to the Apple TV, swipe up from the bottom of your screen, select "AirPlay", select your classroom's Apple TV, and turn on "mirroring". Below is a video tutorial to help review these steps: 4. When you connect your iPad to the Apple TV, it will prompt you to enter a passcode. Enter the passcode projected by the Apple TV onto your iPad.
5. The Apple TV will now project (mirror) your iPad's screen. It can play any video or music that you play through your iPad as well! 6. In order to project from your document camera or computer, you will need to hit the "source search" button on your projector's remote. Keep in mind that you can have students project their own iPad screens and work using this same method! |
